Managed Services

Let us do it all for you - we've got the time, the resources and the expertise

What is a MS?

A Managed Service is an Osprey installation in your country that is run by an experienced Roscom managed service team. Based on your requirements the installation is designed to give you the coverage you require of your switches and also covers the volume of calls required to meet your testing scope of work. Our team works extremely closely with you to design a callset that best probes your tariffs and boundaries where risk is most likely to occur.

The team carry out the test calls, look at the results on a daily basis and can carry out root cause analysis and assist with issue resolution. It really depends on how involved you want us to get.  Weekly/Monthly reports can be issued and regular reviews take place through your dedicated account manager and the managed service team.

Over time, Roscom will be able to make recommendations around how to alter the test plan to become more effective with new products and services. We also work with our managed service customers to build test programs for new services such as soft switch rollout, new offerings such as ADSL and more proactive projects such as byte count verification or roaming.

Why Choose a MS?

As the economic climate has changed over the past few years Managed services have increased as departmental resources have declined and Capex has been reduced. Smaller operators have selected managed services to be able to use Roscom resources to support limited Revenue Assurance departments and use Test Call Generators as their primary tool against revenue loss and leakage. Larger operators, that have their teams working on multiple tools are also using Roscom Managed services to compliment their other tools and reduce the strain on their overburdened teams.

A managed service can meet your scope whether it be just regulatory compliance for the likes of Ofcom, ACIF, TRAI or Sarbannes Oxley or whether it is for a complete end to end assurance with a test call generator. Using Roscom analysts to provide the service also mean that you get the benefit of best practice and experience of running multiple services.

What are the Benefits?

A managed service provides multiple benefits:

Flexibility

Can be run as a “Hybrid” solution to suit Capex & Opex budgets

-

Reliability

Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports delivered to the customer identifying findings

-

Proactive and evolving

Can be used to test a variety of existing and future tariffs and technologies (ie: NGN switches testing)
