Roscom Green Update

Green Team Update – Over 1000 trees!

Since the start of 2020, our solar plant has generated a total of 92.15 MWh. That’s enough to boil 921,500 kettles*, soon to be 1 million! Here at Roscom we are all really proud of this achievement and as our previous post in the year stated, to be completely carbon neutral as a test call generation provider (including our sister aerospace company Rotadata). But that’s not all..

In order to keep all of our staff safe, senior management here at Roscom made the decision as a business to change to an employee led work from home business wherever possible. There have been numerous benefits to this new working arrangement, but arguably the biggest winner is the environment, with the majority of our employees no longer needing to commute to our headquarters in Derby. Some of our staff have commented that their annual mileage has now dropped by as much as 16,000 miles a year, with most others ranging from 8,000-12,000.

Our favourite fact about our solar plant is that so far, we have generated CO2 savings equivalent to the planting of over 1,000 trees!

If you would like to talk to us about our carbon neutral test calling approach or our other solutions then please let us know… the kettle’s on!
